Full Building Surveys
(Level 3 Building Survey)
Our chartered building surveyors specialise in delivering RICS level 3 building surveys tailor-made for you and your individual full structural survey requirements.
Chartered Building Surveyor Services
Our Chartered Building Surveyor services offers a meticulous and highly detailed approach when carrying out full building surveys. We believe our customers should always be presented with complete full structural survey information on a property or project to make the most informed decisions.
RICS recommends full building surveys as “essential for larger or older properties or if you are planning major works”, but we recommend a level 3 building survey for any property being purchased to make sure everything is covered.
RICS Building Survey Services
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) groups different types of building surveying reports as follows:
Condition Report (Level 1)
A RICS Level 1 Survey, also known as a Condition Report, is the most basic of the three building surveyor services. It's designed for home buyers or homeowners who are seeking a professional and objective report on the condition of a property. They are often used for party walls, as they offer the basic outline of defects (only for part of the building).
Homebuyer's Report (Level 2)
A medium-standard report on a property’s condition. The RICS Level 2 Survey is a house report, compiled after a physical inspection of a property by one of our chartered building surveyor service team, which provides property buyers with more in-depth information on the condition of the property compared to a Level 1 building survey report.
Full Building Survey (Level 3)
The most comprehensive report on the defects and remedies applicable to the property you are looking to buy. The RICs Level 3 building survey inspects all visible and accessible parts of a building including roofs, walls, floors, windows and doors. As part of our building survey services, we will also look at any chimneys, cellars, garages and outbuildings. Our architectural surveyors have a legal responsibility to discover and inform of any major problems with any property we survey.
